HELEN, LORNA & NORA

We recently had the honour of working with Helen, Lorna and Nora who were featured on the Disney Documentary 'Dancing with Dogs'. Several years ago Lorna was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis which severely effected her mobility. She discovered 'Freestyle Dog Dancing' with her dog Nora which, in her words, got her moving and gave her purpose (according to her Dr it probably saved her life!) Before she visited us she had competed for Team GB and come 3rd in Crufts. This March she bettered her performance from last year and finished first in the Cruft's ‘heelwork to music’ freestyle final!

Behind the scenes Lorna is very close to her Mum, Helen. They described themselves as best friends. Helen is an amazing support to Lorna and they attend all of the dog shows together. Helen told us how enormously proud she is of Lorna and the adversity she has overcome with her incredible positivity and strong work ethic. Nora is also very much her 'Granddaughter!' Their experience was very much about creating something that celebrates this incredible relationship they share - something for Helen to feel that immense pride that she has in Lorna and Nora every day!
