Kay, Aaron, Barnaby, Franco, and Eva
Although they don’t all live together all of the time, Barnaby, Franco and Eva share the most awesome sibling bond! Eva absolutely adores her big brothers, and Kay loves that they will be there to ‘look out’ for Eva as she gets older.
It was really important to Kay and Aaron to have something which celebrates them as a complete family unit so that when Barnaby and Franco come to stay they know that they are home.
We had an absolute blast working with them and afterwards they very kindly answered a few questions for us
What fears and hesitations have stopped you having a family photography experience in the past?
Kay: We never really thought about doing a shoot before and always imagined it would be a bit staged and awkward, and not really that much fun with three kids under the age of 10. But when we saw the Facebook competition to have a family photo experience, we thought we'd enter - why not! We've got Little Eva now as part of our family and there weren’t many pictures of all five of us together. So we thought we'd give it a whirl!
Aaron: I don't really like being photographed. So that was always my only fear!
Now that you’ve been through the experience of working with us how do you feel it went?
Kay: It totally exceeded all expectations. It was just a wonderful, special, fun experience. We all really really enjoyed it and the photographs from the session just blew me away. In fact, I was moved to tears seeing them.
Aaron: Yeah, it was fantastic. We had a great time and the kids really enjoyed it too.
Now you’ve completed your session how do you feel it has brought your family together?
Kay: So firstly it was just a really fun day out for all of us. On the way home from the shoot, in the car, we were talking about how much fun we had had and how the beautiful photos were. They really managed to capture the essence of all of us and our family dynamics and relationships. and how lucky we are to have each other being a blended family the experience and the photos really brought us together and brought out the best in us.
Having those images up on the wall will remind us every day of how special our family is how loved we all are and what really matters.
Aaron: It was a fantastic day and we all bonded really well. It was great fun to see all the kids interacting and just showing their true love for each other.
What would you say to someone considering having a session with us?
Franco: I think you should do it. We had lots of fun!
Barnaby: It was really good that they made a slide show of it and we all got popcorn!
Kay: Without a doubt just go for it! We had an absolute blast and you will totally fall in love with your photographs.
Aaron: It was a fantastic day out and the kids loved it!
