It’s all change for the Toeman family as Beth joins Will at University! Luckily they have Harry and Archie to keep them company!
Paul and Louise wanted to celebrate the unique relationships they all share, they have such a contrast of characters which fit absolutely perfectly within their unit, they are all great friends, share so much fun and love and are all at their happiest in each others company!
After their shoot Paul very kindly answered some questions about their experience with Unique + United.
What fears and hesitations have stopped you having a family photography experience in the past
No, real fears or hesitations, as such, it was more about waiting for the right time to do it so that the photographs would have the maximum value.
Now that you’ve been through the experience of working with us how do you feel it went?
The experience was brilliant and very personal and personable and lovely. The time on the phone before the shoot is fantastic, and the the actual session the studio was tons of fun. I personally love the fact that there wasn't too much posing or direction and that we didn’t have to follow a certain path. But I love the way that Jamie had his notes there, from our calls, and it helped guide him to the next shot.
I think on balance. I would have liked more photographs on the black side of the studio. It was it sort of to heavily dominant on the white side, but that's a relatively small thing.
I also loved the fact that our favourite music was playing during the shoot!
Now you’ve completed your session how do you feel it has brought your family together?
My favourite photos are up on the wall in the dining room. So every time you sit down for a meal for dinner as a family we can glance across and look at those favourite moments of us interacting together and that's absolutely brilliant. I mean, it's priceless, timeless! It doesn't matter what we look like in 10 years time will always treasure that that connection and intimacy that we had at that particular moment. Brilliant!
What would you say to someone considering having a session with us?
I would definitely say do it, and don't hesitate, certainly don't put it off and don't wait for a big birthday or anniversary or an event as such. Be very clear in your mind about the photographs in terms of the what you want them to bring to you as a family and why. It is a financial investment, but the value far exceeds the cost!
Also think about what you want to do with the furniture and really really understand the process you’re going to go through. The photographs are so much more than just the photograph being taken in the studio - it's what they mean to you afterwards, every day. You want to maximise that meaning in your home for you for the years to come.
